Anna Otto, Counseling Intern
Professional Disclosure Statement
Professional Standards: I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in training under the supervision of Megan Fischetti, LCSW. All diagnoses, notes and cases are reviewed, staffed and monitored by my supervisor who can be reached by email at megan@lighthouse-counselingllc.com.
Education and Experiences: I received my Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education and Ministry from Wheaton College (IL) in 2019; currently I am a student intern pursuing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027. I have spent three and a half years working within the church, hold personal understanding of ministry burnout and “church hurt;” while working at my church I focused my attention on missionary care, the 5th-12th grade girls ministry, young adult ministry, and supporting the widows and divorcees within the church. I am not military, however I have spent most of my life in close community with those who are in the military and their families, striving to hold space for the unique challenges they face. Additionally, both in my ministry role and as a practicum intern I gained experience in coming alongside those who are grieving the death of a loved one. I work primarily with children, adolescents, and adults.
Therapeutic Orientation: My approach to therapy in Eclectic, believing that every client’s needs are different. I primarily utilize Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, and person-centered care. I believe that therapy must be a collaborative effort between the client and clinician – my goal is to find creative ways to pattern together, creating an effective treatment plan for you.
Code of Ethics: As a Student Counselor, I align myself with the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics and encompass the values of the counseling profession for the purpose of establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships. I am also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and uphold their ethical codes and values.
