Therapeutic Orientation and Counseling Process
Counseling is a collaborative process tailored to each client’s unique needs. During the initial sessions, we will gather relevant information, identify presenting concerns, and establish treatment goals. Assessment may include clinical interviews, questionnaires, and, when appropriate, psychological measures.
My primary therapeutic approach is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), with integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the Gottman Method. Treatment approaches are selected collaboratively with each client.
Spiritual or faith-based interventions may be included at the client’s request and in alignment with the client’s belief system.
I work with individuals ages 8 and older, couples, and families.
Code of Ethics
I adhere to the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics. My clinical work is informed by counseling theory and my Christian faith. Clients are encouraged to discuss any concerns regarding beliefs, treatment approach, or progress.
