Professional Disclosure Statement

Professional Standards: I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a Licensed Behavior Analyst, a Clinically Certified Trauma Specialist and a Student Counselor under the supervision of Emileigh Allen, LPC. All diagnoses, notes and cases are reviewed, staffed and monitored by my supervisor who can be reached by email at emileigh@lighthouse-counselingllc.com.

Education and Experiences: I received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Applied Psychology from East Carolina University in 2010, a Master of Arts in Professional Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2021 and am presently a practicum student pursuing my Masters in Mental Health Counseling with The Chicago School with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026. My career in Behavior Analysis began in January of 2012 as a Behavior Technician working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and I remain active in the field as a Licensed Behavior Analyst serving neurodivergent individuals, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, significant life transitions and symptoms of trauma. I work primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults, often incorporating their families and chosen social supports.

Therapeutic Orientation: My approach to therapy is person-centered, drawing primarily on aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychodynamics. My goal is to match the specific needs of my Client’s in a supportive and effective approach that includes meaningful assessment and collaborative movement towards their valuable treatment goals.

Code of Ethics: As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst, I follow the ethical and professional standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). As a Student Counselor, I also align myself with the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics and encompass the values of the counseling profession for the purpose of establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships.
