Professional Disclosure Statement
Counselor Qualifications and Areas of Practice: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Regent University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. My clinical experience includes trauma, PTSD, dissociative disorders, anxiety, depression, stress management, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and other mental health disorders and issues as described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual 5th Edition of the American Psychiatric Association. I will make appropriate referrals should we find that my clinical experience will not effectively meet your clinical needs. I work with adults, adolescents, and children aged 5 and above.
Theoretical Orientation: I combine a Person-Centered approach with elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for a holistic journey toward healing. I often draw from other therapeutic techniques such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as necessary. I am also certified in Eye Movement Integration (EMI) as a treatment for trauma and other stressors. I am passionate about joining clients in the process of growth toward self-esteem, healing, wholeness, and restoration. I provide Christian spiritual interventions when requested by the client, such as inner healing prayer and faith-based discussions. Clients are never required to participate in any modality, either clinical or spiritual, at any time.

These codes of ethics outline my responsibilities to uphold a professional and appropriate relationship with clients. Outlined in this code are the values of the counseling profession and the purpose of the therapeutic relationship between counselors and clients. Following these allow me to function at my highest potential and to do what is in your best interest as my client.
